Color Abstractions
The Effect of Out of Focus, is so uncertain, because it is so unreal. It becomes some kind of chaos; like nature, the beauty is spectacular and world is so right. when it is not right, there is confusion, doubt, lack of focus, destruction and violence. Pictures can show a perfect image in that moment, but they are not.
The work speaks of the abstraction of her life: beauty, focus, ugly and chaos. She has never felt comfortable in her own skin, so she created these images to represent her feelings. In her search for the beauty and truth, it has not always been there. The family portrait was always Out of Focus; you never knew how out of focus, chaotic and/or splintered.
